A great-sounding band is really something special to experience. Crossroadz is a culmination of many years of musical experience, in studio and live onstage. Featuring one of the best live experiences through sound and light, they work hard to build a repertoire that spans a number of genres... classic rock, southern rock, funk, blues, country and a whole lot more.
Chris Mitchell
Lead Guitar | Lead Vocal
Originally from Brasher Falls, NY, Chris is the founder of Crossroadz which got its start in 1998 out of Culpepper, VA. Chris has been playing most of his life and started booking his talents back in 1990. With influences like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and AC/DC; Chris really enjoys the great sound and diversity of music this group has to offer their audience.
Karl Westfall
Bass Guitar
Karl comes to Crossroadz with his small arsenal of basses he's built over the years. Having been a military brat, he's lived up and down the East Coast. Finally settling down in Virginia is when he took up bass as full-time. Karl's influences are primarily English and Southern Rock with groups like Cream, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Free, Yes, Allman Brothers, and many others. Karl's biggest reward is making great music and entertaining crowds of all sizes.
Chris Mueller
Drums | Vocals
Chris originates from the home of Rock n' Roll... Cleveland, OH. He's been in Raleigh since '83 and he's been playing drums since he was a teen and really loves giving any audience a great show. His musical upbringing included a steady diet of Rush, Yes, and Brand X; but loves the classic simplicity of The Beatles, Tom Petty, and many others. It's all about finding that groove and making himself at home there.
Pat McFarren
Sound Engineer
Pat originally came from Granville, NY. Music has always been a part of his life, including playing the saxophone for 10 years. Now he enjoys being an integral part of Crossroadz' shows by overseeing our shows and keeping us sounding great at the sound board.
Gary Witherbee
Lighting | Video
Gary originates from Wells, Vermont where he grew up and developed musical tastes that range from 80s rock to classic and new country. He also played bass in two different bands in his 20s. Now he loves creating visual impact through lighting as well as developing video and other media for his favorite band, Crossroadz.
